Voluntary Commitments

Celesc seeks to take principles and commitments in partnership with different entities in order to expand our social activities and develop continuous improvement processes in our management. Thus, in solidarity and become active on issues of importance to the development of sustainability in the sector in which we operate, as well as in others.

Na mão certaNa mão certa: O Programa Na Mão Certa is an initiative of Childhood Brazil to mobilize governments, businesses and nonprofit organizations around the more effective combating sexual exploitation of children and adolescents on Brazilian highways. The vehicle fleet of Celesc has stickers with information about the Dial 100. The phone number is the unique reporting channel of Na Mão Certa.

Objetivos de Desenvolvimento do Milênio (ODM): Celesc is committed to United Nations Programme (UN) which aims at consolidating basic concepts of citizenship and improve the quality of life of everyone on the planet. Empresa Pró-ÉticaCadastro Empresa Pró-Ética: In 2012, Celesc joins in the National Register of Companies Committed to Ethics and Integrity, initiative of Controladoria-Geral da União and the Instituto Ethos to evaluate and disseminate the companies voluntarily engaged in the construction of a health environment and confidence in trade relations, including those involving the public sector.

Currently the register includes 14 companies, and the assessed requirements are:

  • Adoption of an internal ethics code;
  • Adoption of social responsibility standards;
  • Creation of a system for receiving anonymous complaints;
  • Implementation of rules for accepting gifts;
  • internal committee formation to judge any deviations internally practiced.
